I can't remember my address from a year ago, but I can remember my phone number from more than 20 years ago.

Hey, do you remember the Safety Kids song? Or was that just something I learned in school? That's how I remember that phone number. And that's how Dan remembers his phone number growing up, too!
Yes, Liz, I remember the Safety Kids song, but that's not how I remembered the number.
By the time Safety Kids came along, it had been a long while since I had already memorized my home phone number.
It would be interesting to go back and listen to the Safety Kids songs. I don't remember any of the melodies, but I remember that one of the songs was about screaming if anyone grabbed you, and looking for a grandma or mother with children.
